Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (PG-13) - A

Johnny Depp is back with Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley in the second part of the Pirates movie, in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Directed again by Gore Verbinski, this film brings you on the incredible journey of Jack Sparrow and his crew on the Black Pearl. This time gold and mortality is not what is being searched for but instead a race against time to find the chest that holds the heart of Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), a half man, half sea creature that takes the souls of men to work his decks for eternity.

Sparrow makes a deal with Jones and is reluctant to keep his end up, and because of this he is forced to find a different method to get what he wants, his life. He goes through a journey that will cause him to finally stand up for his friends and crew and may even cost him his life. Through all of the sword fighting and sarcasm he is hopeful in this journey.

Being the second part of this incredible trilogy I would say that there is only a few other trilogy's that can stand up and claim to be better. However I would say that this film is again a perfect film for friends and family and would encourage you to watch it if you haven't yet.

Out of 5 stars I would give this one 4.5 out of 5. To see the continuation of this wonderful adventure is something of amazement. To see the settings and to picture what life during the true times of being a pirate was astonishing. This film is perfect in just about every way.
