Director Gore Verbinski brought the Disney thrill ride of the Pirates of the Caribbean to life in this live action, adventure film Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl with Johnny Depp as the infamous Jack Sparrow. This was the last time that Disney would put one of their rides into a film, and this is good because they left that idea on a high note.
Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) and Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Swann) illuminate the screen with Johnny Depp in this swashbuckling, pirate chasing, and exotic film. It takes place in the Caribbean, of course, and it shows you the mutiny of a crew and a people on their search for gold and their calling in life. Upon the waves of the ocean this film takes you on a ride of immortality and excitement that will keep you wanting more. The chance for revenge and for name is out for grabs on the open sea as these characters take you on a ride that you will never forget.
This film is by far one of my favorite family films and Disney films out there. You get taken away with adventure, action, romance, and the comedy that only Depp can deliver. It is perfect for a family to sit and watch together as well as for a group of friends, it is perfect for all ages and is one that I would recommend to all.
Giving this film a rating out of 5 stars will be easy seeing that this film is a 4.5 out of 5 stars, and given that not many would argue that, I am willing to say that not much can top this film.
