The Ugly Truth (R) -

The ugly Truth is a romance comedy that will take you for a ride and for a twist. Director Robert Luketic, shows us the truth about relationships, or what he portrays to us about relationships. In this movie, Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) and Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler) are in a battle of the sexes. They bring a new light to what relationships are truly about when Mike helps Abby gain and keep a relationship going with her new neighbor. Through all of the mess ups and mistakes that she has made and with her undoubtfull hate towards Mike she still allows him to help her with this new and hopeful relationship.

These two characters bring a comedy level to the screen that you just don't find that much. Seeing these two go through all of the motions in a relationship with such humor is something that you just don't see that often anymore. There is laughter and romance through the entire film. If you want something that will lighten up your day or something that will make you have that feeling all over again then watch this film. If you are not a fan of language then I would not recommend this film to you. to go along with the title the ugly truth about this film is, that it is very real in how people today talk and some of the actions that they do as well.

In rating this film, I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. It keeps you in your seat and allows you to show a little emotion at the same time. It captivates the audience in a way that a film hasn't done before. It is a great film and a great time. Go pick it up if you have not seen it and let it brighten up your day.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (PG) - A

In this exciting next chapter of the saga known as The Chronicles of Narnia, director Andrew Adamson has brought to life the characters that excited us all in the first chapter. Prince Caspian takes place in Narnia 1300 years later in their time and only one year later in ours. All four children, Peter, Edmond, Susan and Lucy all return to the incredible land to help restore peace and order.

Separation of the land has come about and the soon to be new king Prince Caspian has to make a decision on which side to fight for. The four kings and queens or Narnia have returned to help him in his quest and to bring peace back to the land.
This film was very well done and was portrayed perfectly to what the story books have all said. Even though it is only part two of the saga we as viewers are already eager to see what happens next, even though some of us who have read the books. This film is great for the whole family, implementing morals and strong believes throughout the entirety of the film.

Out of 5 stars rating this film would be easy seeing how I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Accuracy of the book was great, acting was perfect, and the overall screenplay and direction of the film was great. I would recommend this film to anyone who would like a great film filled with action, adventure and excitement. If you have not seen this film go now and pick it up, it will be worth the money.

The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter (PG) - B+

In 1991 George Miller, directed The Neverending Story II.  In this film he brings back the characters that we all loved in the first film.  Even though the characters are played by other actors you still love the film.  It brings you back to the fantasy land of Fantasia and brings you on another great adventure.  This time there is someone standing in the way of letting things run smoothly.  Trying to fight off "The Emptyness", the characters in this film give you a sense of accomplishment and persistence as you watch it.
Again not one of the best films written and the graphics still do not give you the best feeling, however if you want to sit as a family and watch a good, clean film showing you some decent morals then this film is great.
Out of 5 stars I would give this film 3.5 out of 5.  Good, clean storyline and fun for the whole family.  I would recommend this film to any child and family out there, if you are looking for something good to watch.  Take a ride and come visit Fantasia today, you will love it.

The Neverending Story (PG) - B+

In 1984 a childs fantasy was created.  The world of imagination and excitement was brought to us on screen.  Directed by Wolfgang Peterson, The Neverending story was a tale of a boy who was forced to stick to the real world by his father and was not really allowed to have his own dreams and imagination.  Even though the graphics are old and the acting is not the best this film gives families and children something decent to watch in this day and age.
The idea behind this film was to show children that it is still ok to dream and to live in a fantasy world at times.  Without that world then children would be lost in the troubles of reality.  This film wasn't the best out there but it is one that will always stick in your mind once you have seen it.  It's funny, one because of the older graphics and to the characters in the film will actually give children a reason to laugh and they will be able to understand it.
Out of 5 stars I would give this film a rating of 3.5 out of 5.  Even though it wasn't the best thing out there it was still well done, and enabled families to sit together and enjoy a good quality film.  I would recommend this film to just about any child out there and to families.  Good movie, go get it.

The Gift (R) - A

The Gift is a movie that has it all. Directed by Sam Raimi, this film holds you there until the end. It was beautifully done and written amazingly by Billy Bob Thorton. The Gift has an all-star cast and also has an all-time plot. Cate Blanchett, Giovanni Ribisi, Keanu Reeves, Katie Holmes, Greg Kinnear, and Hilary Swank all starred in this amazing film, which dipicted the life of a young singhle mom who had an incredible gift. Each character played was so well acted that you didn't know who was who until the end.

This film is a great mystery on finding out the killer of a young woman who was played by Katie Holmes. You have no idea until the end who the killer really is and the film was so wonderfully written that you believe you know who it is, but wait there is a twist.
On a rating of 5 stars I would give this film a 4.5 out of 5. It captures the audience, it keeps them in their seats, it was beautifully written, and the acting was just outstanding. You really can not ask for much more out of the film.
There is a bit of a horror/thriller side to this film so if you are not someone who likes that style then this film is not for you. However if you like suspense, drama, action, and some thrills then this is perfect for you. There is some language and nudity in the film, so be aware of that as well. Over all the film is incredible and amzing, so enjoy.
